Shop / ambrosia sweet corn seeds
We are a small family-owned business and natives of Idaho. Our employee force consists of family and friends as we grow with you, our customers and community. Our love for gardening and helping to enrich others' lives through the cultivation of flowers, vegetables, herbs, and fruit is our purpose and passion.
Isla's Garden Seeds are locally sourced from high-quality farms, predominantly in the Pacific Northwest. We only sell the best seeds, as we understand the importance of integrity in growing food to feed yourselves and your families. The health of our future is a driving force of our business. The majority of our seeds are Heirloom and Non-GMO.
Isla (pronounced Eye-Luh) is the youngest in our family. We named our company after her because she is the anchor for the six of us, filling our home with a playful, vibrant, and colorful joy, akin to a garden. If you've purchased seeds since the formation of our business in 2017, you may have received a rare packet with her photo on the front.
The Early Sunglow Hybrid corn seeds were developed to be earlier than other types of corn, and became well known for their vibrant, golden color. The stalks grow to be about four feet tall, which makes this a slightly shorter variety than others. The Early Sunglow Hybrid provides six to seven-inch ears. This strain of corn may take up to 60-70 days to maturity.
Having corn in your own backyard is so much fun! It's great for that missing dinner side dish. The seeds are perfect for planting in the garden or for storing in a seed safe for emergency.
The Early Sunglow Hybrid corn is an Annual variety, maturing in 60-70 days. The recommended planting depth is 1-2 inches, with a plant spacing of 4 inches and a row spacing of 30 inches. The growth habit is Upright, and it requires Full Sun.
The Latin name for the Early Sunglow Hybrid corn is Zea mays, and it is classified as a Hybrid, Warm Season variety. It is hardy in USDA Hardiness Zones 3 through 12.
We encourage you to take photos of your plants and upload them in a review! Let's grow together with Isla's Garden Seeds.
